What is a global default policy?

Last updated: December 1, 2025

A Global Default Policy is the fallback approval flow used when no specific policy is set for an app or permission level. Admins define it in the Policy Builder to ensure all access requests are reviewed consistently.

To set a global default policy, go to Settings → Policies and click Define global default policies in the top right. Then select which policy should serve as the global default for each request type.
