Can I manually edit a user's manager when Manager Sync is enabled?

Yes. When Manager Sync is active, the manager field can still be edited in Cakewalk. However, when the manager info changes in your HRIS or IdP, the manager field in Cakewalk will be overwritten.

To keep all systems in sync, we generally recommend updating a user's manager directly in your HRIS or IdP. Cakewalk syncs changes automatically every 2 hours.

If you need to manage managers manually in Cakewalk, disable Manager Sync in your integration settings.
