How can I cancel an offboarding in Cakewalk?
Last updated: May 14, 2026
Cancel an offboarding by canceling one of the underlying offboarding requests:
Open the user whose offboarding you want to cancel.
Open one of the open offboarding requests for that user.
Click Cancel. The confirmation dialog reads: "This request is part of [User]'s offboarding. By canceling this request, you cancel the entire offboarding."
Confirm. Cakewalk stops all remaining offboarding tasks for that user.
Tasks that already completed before you canceled (for example, access that was already removed) are not automatically restored. Re-provision those manually if needed.
When you start an offboarding, the dialog gives you two options:
Start offboarding: begins immediately.
Set a reminder: schedules the offboarding for a future date (use this for notice periods).
Note: This has to be completed by the user who initiated the offboarding.
