A General Manager on Cakewalk:
Sits at the top of your organization’s hierarchy and does not have a manager assigned. Typically, C-level execs are assigned as General Managers.
Their own requests skip manager-approval steps. Any manager approval in the flow is auto-approved.
They have full visibility and the broadest permissions across users, apps, and reviews, including:
– Submit and approve requests
– Onboard and offboard users
– Manage user groups and app access
– Edit app metadata and owners
– Create and complete access reviews
– Integrate HRIS/IdP and set up auto-provisioning
– Create custom policies and layouts
– Create API keys and webhooks
Note: This role exceeds a typical team manager’s scope. It is not limited to just your direct team.
